Resignation Application
Before you resign
We understand there may be various reasons for resigning your membership with CPA Australia, including transitioning to retirement or a change in your working status.
Before you submit a request to resign, we invite you to contact us to discuss your reason for doing so and some options for you, including:
- transition to retirement
- eligibility to maintain your membership at a reduced fee
Please note that resignations will not be accepted from members who are currently under disciplinary review.
If you are not currently a CPA Australia member and are looking to unsubscribe from communications, visit My Account to update your communication preferences.
Once your request is submitted, we may be in touch to complete the process. Your resignation will be processed within five business days of us receiving your application. You’ll receive an email from us that confirms your resignation.
Once you have resigned your membership, you can no longer refer to yourself as a member of CPA Australia. You must also return any Certificate of Membership or Practicing Certificate, if relevant.
Membership fees are non-refundable as outlined under Article 16(a) of the CPA Australia Constitution.
